Armi Harmio is a singer-songwriter and performer whose music blends the Finnish schlager tradition, a vintage-inspired soundscape, and strong melodies with a modern and experimental approach, resulting in a distinctive and timeless sound.
At the core of her artistic work is a desire to exist outside the mainstream and to address current, often unspoken themes. Armi Harmio’s debut album Surumielinen sateen kastelema (2024) was warmly received. Her second album will be released in autumn 2026. A strong sense of aesthetics plays a key role in Harmio’s performance, and on stage she is often seen in striking, carefully curated outfits, frequently featuring various shades of red.
