Ancient instruments. Three powerful voices. A sound built for the here and now.

Okra Playground is a six-piece powerhouse transforming Finnish folk tradition into something fierce, hypnotic and irresistibly alive. Kantele, bowed lyre and accordion collide with infectious pop-rock energy, electronic soundscapes and driving rhythms, while three mighty female voices rise above it all in striking harmonies.

Deeply rooted in Finnish tradition but fearlessly looking forward, Okra Playground creates music that feels both ancient and utterly contemporary – mystical, wild and electrifying on stage.

The band’s previous album received major international recognition when Songlines magazine named it the Best Album of Europe. Now Okra Playground is working on their fourth studio album, due for release in April 2027, opening a new chapter in the band’s ever-evolving sound.
