Iloisia uutisia! Saura Booking Agency on aloittanut yhteistyön Zemienen kanssa. Zemiene on neljän erilaisista taustoista tulevan muusikon kokoonpano, jota he itse kuvailevat kulttuurien ja arvojen “hedelmälliseksi yhteiseksi maaperäksi”.

Zemiene yhdistelee balkanilaisia, persialaisia, balttilaisia ja pohjoismaisia tarinoita ja melodioita sekä muita eri kulttuuriensa elementtejä.

”Zemiene” on latvialainen sana, joka kuvaa Etelä-Latvian tasaista ja hedelmällistä maata. ”Zämin” persiaksi ja ”Zemin” turkiksi tarkoittavat ”maata”. ”Zemlja” puolestaan tarkoittaa slovenian kielellä ”maata”.

Happy news! Zemiene has been added to Saura Booking Agency’s roster! The four band members come from different backgrounds, values, and cultural perspectives and describe Zemiene as the “fertile common ground to sow seeds of bringing cultures together through music”.

Zemiene combines Balkan, Persian, Baltic, and Nordic stories, temperaments, folk songs, and other sonic elements.

“Zemiene” is a Latvian word that describes the flat and fertile land of Southern Latvia. “Zämin” in Persian and “Zemin” in Turkish mean “The Earth.” Additionally, “Zemlja” is another word that sounds similar, which means “land” in Slovenian.

Nightlore on 13 April will combine a professional event with the traditional music festival concept. At Korjaamo Vintti and Vaunusali, the sharpest edge of pop, ethno, techno, electronica, folk and garage pioneers will take to the stage. Prior to this, pre-registered participants will have the opportunity to attend an international discussion and networking event organised by Music Finland on site.

The festival starts at Korjaamo at 19:00. Performing on two different stages will be ethno-pop artist, Emma winner and Teosto award nominee Vilma Jää, internationally awarded electro-folk band Okra Playground, Suistamon Sähkö, who play boisterous ethno-techno, The Moontwins, a meeting point of two musical worlds, and Satu Lii, who delicately interprets raw folk-pop.
