Luomuduo (Olli Sippola – violin and Sakari Keipi – guitar) are the loudest prophets of Nordic instrumental post-folk. The duo’s roots run deep in Finnish folk tradition. In 2022, they won first place in the national Konsta Jylhä competition for their interpretations of melodies by the legendary fiddler Hassun-Pekko. Alongside their strong respect for tradition, Luomuduo embraces a healthy disregard for genre and stylistic boundaries, with a tendency to play whatever they please — always within the limits of good taste, of course.

Luomuduo released their debut album, “Askola”, in 2021. After hearing it, Kansanmusiikki magazine described them as “one of the most stylish ensembles of the moment.” Luomuduo performs regularly in Finland and across the Nordic countries. They were invited to perform at Norway’s Folkelarm in 2023 and the Kaustinen Folk Music Festival in 2024.
