The Philomela choir breaks the notions of traditional choral singing and wants to surprise the audience in some unique way. Philomela is focused on Finnish and Nordic modern music with folk traditions. The choir tells strong stories with a bold overall expression.

Over the years, the choir has won several choir competitions and toured around the world. In 2013 and 2014, Philomela won the European championship in the European Choir Games competition and the world championship in the World Choir Games competitions.
